Myself

Hello, my name is Emmanuel Onwodi. I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. I moved to America when I was ten years old. Currently, I’m a 19-year-old nursing major in my second year at Indiana University. Outside of my studies, I have a strong passion for football. I played as a linebacker in high school before I broke my wrist during my senior year and had to sit out. I also love weightlifting and studying. I enjoy staying active and challenging myself both on the field and in the gym. Family time is important to me, and I make it a priority to connect with them regularly. I also have a keen interest in fashion and love attending fashion shows whenever I can and staying updated on the latest trends and styles

NURSING STUDENT

Studying in nursing school is both challenging and rewarding, filled with a mix of intense coursework, hands-on training, and deep engagement with medical science. It involves learning complex material, including human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and patient care skills. Nursing students spend countless hours studying in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings, applying what they learn to real-life situations with patients.

Nursing school requires strong time management skills to balance classes, clinical rotations, lab work, and independent study. It’s fast-paced, often requiring students to quickly learn and retain large amounts of information and apply critical thinking to solve patient care issues. Emotional resilience and empathy are also essential, as students witness both recovery and loss, learning to provide compassionate, high-quality care under stress.

The journey is rigorous but incredibly fulfilling, as it prepares students to make a difference in patients' lives and enter a field dedicated to helping others.
